Aligning With God for the Season Ahead

As we step into this new season, I want to share a few thoughts straight from my heart. I know many of us are filled with hope, excitement, and maybe even a little uncertainty about what lies ahead. I’ve been reflecting deeply on how we can truly align ourselves with God’s purpose and illuminate the path He’s called us to walk.

In a recent podcast episode, I shared some insights that I hope will encourage you to take intentional steps toward your Kingdom purpose this year. I want this to feel personal—a heart note from me to you—as we step into this new season together.

Understanding Your Kingdom Purpose

Your purpose in God’s Kingdom is uniquely yours. It’s not just about what you achieve or how others see you—it’s about walking in His truth, shining His light, and living out the assignments He’s given you. I truly believe this is a season for us, the church—the body of Christ—to lean in closer, check in with God, and make sure we’re in right standing with Him.

The Importance of Self-Reflection

One of the most powerful things we can do as we move forward is take time for self-reflection. Ask yourself the tough questions. Where do you need God’s guidance? What areas of your life need clarity? It’s so easy to get distracted by the chaos around us—the noise of social media, the pressure of comparisons, the negativity that creeps in. But when we pause, reflect, and invite God’s light into those areas, we gain clarity and strength to move forward in His purpose.

Building a Relationship With God

Before we can fully serve others, we have to allow God to work in us. For me, this has meant stepping back, slowing down, and spending time in the secret place with Him—praying, worshipping, and digging into His Word. I can tell you that the season of reflection changed everything. It brought understanding, growth, and confirmation of the calling He’s placed on my life. I want to encourage you to carve out that space for yourself this season—it’s where transformation begins.

Obedience and Patience in the Process

Growth often comes slowly and sometimes uncomfortably. I know firsthand how tempting it is to compare yourself to others or wonder why things aren’t moving faster. But I’ve learned that God’s plans are revealed in His timing. Obedience and patience are key. Stay attentive to His voice, embrace the process, and trust that He’s guiding you step by step.

Becoming a Resource for Others

As I walk this journey, my heart is to serve as a resource for you. If you’re seeking guidance, clarity, or encouragement, I want you to know you’re not alone. Community and support are so vital on this path. You can check out more resources and actionable steps at my website, sheilluminates.co, where we can walk this journey together.

Moving Forward

As we step into this new season, let’s remember: it’s not just about personal achievements. It’s about aligning with God’s purpose, nurturing our relationship with Him, reflecting on our path, and patiently walking in obedience. There are incredible things ahead for those who seek Him wholeheartedly.

I’d love for you to check out the full video where I dive deeper into these ideas—it’s a message meant to encourage, challenge, and inspire you to fully embrace your Kingdom purpose this year.
